the Dutch love beer and that's why they started Ocktober Fest...Americans, not to be outdone by a bunch of pansies in lederhosen, have started a few festivals of their own..right cheer in Santa Barbara...ENJOY!!the annual Santa Barbara Beer Festival takes place at Elings Park..they used to have the car and beer festival here, but you can see the problems mixing the two..so now the proceeds go to local rugby teams and a new nonprofit: the Lawn Bowling Association of America...so go get drunk for a good cause!
this past summer we had the Wine Festival at Chase Palm Park..it was well attended so the city decided to sponsor a few new festivals...
at the Cabrillo Ball Field, we have the Methamphetamine Festival..lose your teeth and your looks and get cool skin rashes!!
over at Ortega Park, we have the Black Tar Heroin Festival to be held in the bathrooms only..at the Cabrillo Arts Center, the Tequila Fest went off without a hitch..nobody remembers anything!
the first annual Coke n Pot Festival will be held in Hope Ranch Park at Boss Wendy's!! Public access to her beach will be allowed during the event..and I have been hired as the event coordinator!
so get out there and have some fun this October and remember to drink and drive responsibly!!
