I was watching BYU gymnastics and the girls were wearing some shocking revealing outfits..the girly voiced commentator, a twirler herself, said of an athlete when she landed squarely on her feet after a floor vault, she "stuck it"...is this the kind of family fare we can now expect from Brigham Young University???...I hope so....
event: Wendy Pee McCuckoo's Religious Rightwing Center (Young America Foundation) on Lower State St... the speaker was a British Skinhead telling them their liberties are being taken away by government because of the favorite teabagger buzzword "socialism". Look, the state does not own all the means of production and distribution, so we're not suddenly socialists in the two years Obama' s been president...geez, these folks are silly. America is a balance and blend of many political theories..always has been, so relax!!
Now, I'm half communist, half socialist and half capitalist, (thank you stock market!!) and I laugh at all the drama queens who think they have the right to do anything they please with no responsibility or accountability to society..."Oh" they cry.."my liberties are being taken away"..boohoohoo...hey, if someone takes something from me I fight, I don't cry...but I'm as free today as I've ever been..actually moreso! I can do whatever I want within the confines of reason and responsibilty...the bottom line is don't mess with anyone's civil rights and America will be fine..but, oh, the message is lost on the left and right..so they form these little luncheons and complain about how horrible their lives are and the future just doesn't look good..a bunch of losers and babies (sorry babies!!)....
and to suggest the N-P cares a bit about students is laughable...how many editorials have railed against the student vote for any number of their pet candidates losing??
Pappas lost because more people voted for Farr...and here's what you young Americans really need to notice..Pappas was bought by two wealthy-by-inheritance and or/divorce ladies who tried to buy the election thru the courts..that is where your liberties are threatened...when private wealthy nitwits try to buy elections and deny you your right to vote!!
