Maior ponte do Mundo foi inaugurada na China

Foi inaugurada na China a maior ponte do Mundo sobre o mar. Tem 36,48 quilómetros, custou cerca de 1500 milhões de euros e fica situada na cidade de Qingdao.

A ponte levou quatro anos a ser construída e faz a ligação entre a cidade e os subúrbios de Huangdao, na baía de Jiazhou, diminuindo a distância entre as cidades em cerca de 30 minutos.

Aqui fica situado um dos principais portos da China e a sede das provas olímpicas.

Note-se que, recentemente, foi também inaugurada na China a maior linha de alta velocidade, que liga Pequim a Xangai ao longo de 164,8 quilómetros.

Um outro recorde recente batido pelos chineses é o do maior gasoduto do Mundo, com 8700 quilómetros. É o segundo gasoduto de gás natural na Ásia Central.

Curiosamente, todos estes recordes coincidem com o 90.º aniversário do Partido Comunista chinês.

OPENS 7/8-"Horrible Bosses" Rating: Starring Jason Bateman, Jennifer Aniston, Kevin Spacey, Jason Sudeikis, Jamie Foxx, & Colin Farrell & Charlie Day

Wow! What can I say about “the” actual horrible bosses AND the actual film itself? Whew! The bosses were all the same, crude, rude, and just horrible! But the way that they were all introduced in the beginning of the film was remarkably funny! There were so many sexual explicit scenes with Aniston’s character that I could NOT contain my laughter! She was dynamite! The way that Day acted throughout the entire film was simply funny-he was stupid as hell! He had me cracking up and so did Jamie Foxx! Foxx’s name in the movie was soooo damn funny and the story he tells as to how he got the name is priceless; trust me on that! Because of all the sexual explicit imagery and the vulgar language/references, I felt like I was watching a continuation of Bad Teacher! Lol! This movie, as a whole was very entertaining from start to finish! I laughed at almost every character and in every scene at like 5 minute intervals! That is a definite good thing! This movie had the perfect cast, the photography was bright and clear, the acting was phenomenal, and the laughter was very contagious! This is a definite must see movie & the way that it ended—it was priceless…u will laugh and stay for the ending credits, they are just like The Hangover, funny as hell!

OPENS 7/1-"Larry Crowne" Rating: Starring Julia Roberts, Taraji P. Henson, Tom Hanks, & Cedric The Entertainer

This movie was like Larry: plain and just no flare to it/him! But, the IMMEDIATE thing that I noticed about Julia Roberts’ character in this movie is that is was slightly similar to Cameron Diaz’ character in Bad Teacher. Diaz’ character was rough and slutty and did not give a crap while on the other hand, Roberts’ character was simply nonchalance, at times-not 24/7 and she would always look beat up and exhausted. Now that is out of the way…..I felt like every time Julia and Tom interacted with each other, it was very funny and exciting. Dr. M was really funny when he started laughing uncontrollably in his scenes. This was a low-budget film with no other stars but Julia and Tom that had pivotal roles. This was one of those movies where the previews looked intriguing-but the end result was just okay. This was a movie made for the “older generation.” It was really original and I not deliver the type of performance I was expecting, so thank you not Mr. Larry Crowne!

OPENS 7/22-"Friends With Benefits" Rating: Starring Justin Timberlake, Emma Stone, & Mila Kunis

Granted, “No Strings Attached” movie with Kutcher & Portman was really awesome and NSA AND FWB both mean the exact same thing—had an Advanced Screening to this film so here is my rating on it--I really liked this movie! The beginning was so great! It made me think one thing, when I was so totally off base with it and I laughed @ myself! I love it when I am tricked about something in a movie that means that it will not be “as predictable”. Of course, the ending to the movie was predictable, but certain parts kept me guessing that something either could or could not happen. Mila Kunis played a very tough, feisty, street-smart NY girl & Timberlake played the more playboy type who wanted love-both did not want to commit, but I liked how they came together. The movie had me laughing at so many parts-the introduction to Woody Harrelson was hilarious! Kunis’ mom was funny, Timberlake’s dad was funnier and the scene with Timberlake and a girl he picked up while separated from Jamie who was sniffing and licking his armpit hair-that scene was priceless! It was a re-make that, in my opinion was very enjoyable to watch! I loved it form start to finish. It had a little conflict, a little drama, most of all, it had me laughing and wanting more!

OPENS 7/29-"Crazy Stupid Love" Rating: Starring Steve Carrell, Julianne Moore, Ryan Gosling, & Emma Stone

Explosive! Funny! Charismatic! All these words describe how wonderful this film was! OMG! It seemed like the movie was set in a bar as much as the cast were in bars during the whole film! I mean, this movie was truly about how crazy and stupid love can be, honestly. That is why they named it: CRAZY STUPID LOVE! ONE very interesting attribute that this movie had that I did not except @ all was---SUSPENSE AND MYSTERY! I say that because there is a mystery about Emma Stone & Marisa Tomei in the storyline that I never even saw coming and I will say it again-I love a movie that is not predictable; so many questions of mine never got answered about this movie-a sequel may come up because of it and if you see it, you will see what I mean. Questions like will Jacob and Hannah stay a couple? Do Emily and Carl reunite? What happens with the 8the grade teacher? Does the babysitter hook up with the 13 year old boy who had a crush on her? Steve Carell made me laugh out loud with his role, that man is funny as hell no matter what role he plays and he always manages to play a comedy role. If he ever portrayed a serious role, I would not go see the movie! Lol! The tone, the photography, and the picture quality of the movie was spectacular! Ryan Gosling made me laugh too by the things he was saying and doing! The scene where all the guys were fighting in the yard was CRAZY!---The scene where the babysitter took those pictures for Cal was STUPID!---The scene where the playboy said he was falling in love with Hannah was LOVE! A must see movie that is about exploring life, changing you are for the better and seeing what new adventures await you! Take a chance, CRAZY STUPID LOVE is out there! :)

OPENS 7/8-"The Zookeeper" Rating: Starring Kevin James, Rosario Dawson, and Leslie Bibb

A repeat of Night @ the Museum is all this movie is-with a little bit more emphasis on COMPASSION & COMMITMENT to the job and the animals; with the exception that in this movie, it is animals that talk and not people/statues. This is a movie for children, young adults and families. This is a cute film for really any genre of individuals. It has lots of laughs-thank to Kevin James. I mean, he is clumsy as an ox, the way he screams when the animals begin talking and following him, certain scenes that he does that just make you laugh so hard and say wow because u cannot believe that he just did what you saw, etc. That little monkey was HILARIOUS. Whomever did the voice for that monkey needs to win an Academy Award-they were funny as hell! The scene with the Fo*Rida song, "Low" featuring the Gorilla was too funny as well. This movie will keep you laughing from start to finish & the very beginning of the movie was funny, too! Kevin James is a really talented and gifted actor/comedian. Rosario Dawson could have portrayed her character with more emphasis than she did. She acted brilliantly in the wedding scene and the end, but all other scenes that she was in: NAH! James' movements and facial expressions are just phenomenal in this movie-the way he interacted with the animals teaching him how to re-invent himself is funny; what they tell him to do, the whole thing is sweet and funny. You will chuckle, you will laugh, you will smile big, but one thing you will NOT do: say that there was NOT one part in the movie you DID NOT LOVE. A movie suited for anyone in my candid opinion!

OPENS 7/22-"Captain America: The First Avenger" Rating: Starring Chris Evans, Tommy Lee Jones, Dominic Cooper, and Derek Luke

This was spectacular movie! I am glad that I decided to see it! Great, but I am so thankful that I did not see it in 3D because I know 4 a fact; I would have been very disappointed! It had all the action, it had all the killing, and fighting scenes, and most importantly, it kept me entertained-there was minimal humor-but it was still funny nonetheless. After the ending credits were over and we saw the trailer for the Avengers, that was pretty awesome! Spring 2012 cannot get here fast enough! The trailer was super cool and intense! The ending was pretty unpredictable, maybe people who follow this comic book icon knew the ending was going to end the way that it did, but for it, it was truly a shocker! Chris Evans & Tommy Lee Jones were great & I loved the visual effects, all the blasting, the illumination, etc! Fantastic! In conclusion, this movie was very good & I enjoyed watching it!

Sabrina Renne Robinson, from California, poured hot wax over his chest and threatened to 'gut him like a deer' as she sought revenge.

She also smashed him in the face with the butt of a shotgun and repeatedly threatened to kill him.

Police in California said the 33-year-old suspected her boyfriend had been seeing another woman.

She invited her boyfriend to her flat in Fresno, California, and according to police suggested they do 'something kinky'.

The 41-year-old man, who has not been named, stripped naked and allowed himself to be handcuffed to the bed.

But police said when the man was restrained Robinson suddenly turned violent.

Investigators say Robinson burned the man's chest with candle wax, punched his head and body, hit him with the barrel of a shotgun and threatened him with a knife.

While brandishing the knife, Robinson told him 'this is the same type of knife I skin deer with', according to Madera County Sheriff’s Department Eric Stuart.

Atty gen Holder comes to his sense and drops probe against Bush CIA officials over alleged torture

Now that the Obama administration has sucked up every bit of juice from getting Osama bin Laden to sleep with the fish, the least he could do was to stop harassing Bush CIA officials that got the actionable intelligence by using enhanced interrogation.

This investigation was never warranted in the in the first place and was only done to appease Obama’s kook Leftwing base.

The Justice Department will end a wide-ranging probe into the CIA’s past interrogation, rendition, and detention activities, but it will launch a formal criminal investigation into agency officials involved in the deaths of two detainees, Attorney General Eric Holder announced on Thursday.

“The department has determined that an expanded criminal investigation of the remaining matters is not warranted,” Holder said in a statement.

Holder said he accepted the recommendation of longtime federal prosecutor John Durham to proceed with a criminal investigation into the deaths of the two detainees, adding that Durham’s team “reviewed a tremendous volume of information pertaining to the detainees” that included “both information and matters that had never previously been examined by the department.”

the attorney general tapped Durham in 2009 to review cases of alleged detainee mistreatment and death at the hands of CIA interrogators and contractors under the George W. Bush administration.

The probe has been hanging over the CIA, and Holder’s decision to end it was immediately welcomed by key officials.

Notably, Holder made his announcement only minutes before the Senate voted 94-0 to confirm Gen. David Petraeus as the next CIA director. The announcement was also made on the last day for current CIA Director Leon Panetta, who is heading to the Pentagon as the next Defense secretary.

“After extensive examination of more than 100 instances in which CIA had contact or was alleged to have had contact with terrorist detainees, [Durham] has determined that no further law enforcement action is appropriate in all but two discrete cases,” Panetta said in a message to CIA employees.

“No decision has been made to bring criminal charges,” added Panetta, who fiercely defended CIA agents during his tenure. “Both cases were previously reviewed by career federal prosecutors who subsequently declined prosecution. The agency will, of course, continue to cooperate fully in the remaining investigations.”

Transformers Dark Of The Moon no será exhibida en Venezuela

Bueno aquí vengo sumamente enojado y con un post especial, porqué es especial, porque a nuestros hermanos de Venezuela le han cancelado la exibición de la película Transformers Dark Of The Moon, película la cual su servidor ya vio en la premier el día de ayer (Miércoles 29 de Junio, y hoy 30 de Junio se estrena aquí en Argentina). El sitio web Oidossucios.com publicó el siguiente artículo (hagan click en el link de la página para ver la nota completa) en la cual nos dice que el gobierno venezolano ha decidido quitar la película debido a que el país venezolano se ve involucrado en el film.
Aquí hago un paréntesis y digo que eso no es más que una gran patraña política debido a que la película toca en ciertos ámbitos a la eterna pelea entre Rusia y Estados Unidos en la Guerra Fría y la Carrera Espacial.
No sé en que pueda perjudicar ésto al gobierno venezolano, pero no es más que una película enla cual ni siquiera ellos salen mencionados en la película (sólo se nombra a Sudamérica en general,, siquiera aclaran países).
 En mi opinión personal, el actuar de ésta manera por parte del gobierno venezolano me parece una verdadera y completa vergüenza. Esperemos que éste problema "por no decir, los caprichos del militante" se resuelva pronto y que nuestros amigos de Venezuela puedan disfrutar al máximo de ésta excelente película tal cual lo hicimos y lo está haciendo el resto del continente americano y el mundo.       

Mark Halperin suspended by MSNBC for being on point when he called Obama a “dick”

Finally, somebody at the Obama-suck-up cable channel, aka MSNBC had a moment of clarity when reporter Mark Halperin correctly labeled President Obama as a “dick” after he heard the stream of misinformation and class warfare demagoguery coming from the president’s lips yesterday.

Hallelujah!

At least there’s somebody at MSNBC with enough integrity to tell it like it is when we have a president way over his head, unable to talk about his own record since coming to the White House, refusing to accept blame for his own mess, and desperately giving the American people false choices between choosing kids and corporate jets.

That was a shameful, disgusting, and unbecoming of a president performance by Obama yesterday and Halperin nailed him on it.

So now the drones at MSNBC are scrambling to right the ship and put it back on a brown-nosing path.

It won’t take them that long to get back on course.

Vi ricorderete sicuramente le critiche da parte di Shia LaBeouf sullo scarso risultato del quarto Indiana Jones.
Dopo quasi un anno Harrison Ford, intervistato da Details, è stato laconico sulle esternazioni del suo giovane collega: "Penso che sia stato un fottuto idiota. Come attore, ritengo che sia mio compito supportare il film senza fare la figura del fesso. Shia è ambizioso, preciso e di talento, deve imparare ad affrontare una situazione particolare e difficile.", ma con queste premesse quale possa essere la loro alchimia sul set di un eventuale Indiana Jones 5? 
Lo stesso LaBeouf ha criticato anche Transformers 2, definendolo un film senza cuore. Bay cosa ha fatto? lo ha corretto dicendo che il film era cacca ad alto budget! (Bestmovie di giugno) Ma il detto NON SPUTARE NEL PIATTO DOVE MANGI non esiste?? Per mia idea anche se un film è uscito poco bene l'attore non dovrebbe mai fare quello che ha fatto il protagonista di Transformers 3, e anche Micheal Bay riguardo all'insulto pesante riguardo al secondo capitolo della saga di Transformers! 

Public sector employees at NY/NJ agency (Port Authority) paid $30K more than average pay of private sector workers

This is where your tax dollars are going.

The average salary for a worker at New York/New Jersey Port Authority, a bi-state agency that runs both New York city airports, the World Trade Center, the PATH Trains system, and the city’s Hudson River bridge and tunnel crossings, is a whopping $90,000 a year.

That’s a lot more than private sector workers in NYC who take in $60K on average.

Here’s the funny part, a PA spokesman said, “The PA has taken significant steps to control costs.”

It pays to work for the Port Authority -- big time. The average salary at the bistate agency hit $90,000 last year -- more than $30,000 above the average salary for private-sector workers in the city -- according to a new analysis by the conservative think tank the Manhattan Institute.

The study found that average salaries at the PA rose about $1,000 over 2009, even as the agency is preparing to propose hiking bridge and tunnel tolls 25 percent next year, from $8 to $10.

"Is it bloat, or is it grounded in necessity? They need to show me," said City Council Minority Leader James Oddo (R-Staten Island). "If they have a good explanation for it, they better put it out there rather quickly."

According to the analysis, the highest-paid PA worker is executive director Christopher Ward, who earned $304,902. The agency's top attorney, Darrell Buchbinder, was No. 2, with $251,758.

The most eye-popping numbers were put up by PA cops, four of whom made the top 10 thanks to huge overtime pay.

Three police sergeants more than doubled their base salaries because of OT. And one of them, Sgt. Edwin Rivera -- No. 8 overall -- pulled down $132,286 on top of his base salary of $103,964 to make him the PA's OT champ for 2010.

Rivera declined to comment.

In a statement, the PA said it "has taken significant steps to control costs . . . the agency is now at its lowest staffing levels in 40 years and will continue its commitment to cutting costs."

The agency has a workforce of about 7,000 -- including a 1,500-member police department -- and operates the region's airports and seaports, the World Trade Center, the PATH train system, and the city's Hudson River bridge and tunnel crossings.

By comparison, the Empire Center said the average employee salary at the MTA in 2009 was dramatically lower, at $69,000.

"We think it's incredibly important that financial data, like the Port Authority's payroll, is available for analysis," the Empire Center said in a statement.

"It helps to paint the whole picture of where our tax dollars go and provides a canvas for taxpayers to make an informed decision about how they think their government is performing

Good thing the PA has taken significant steps to keep salaried down. Otherwise these workers may be subject to Obama’s tax hikes for the rich.

Condor Rojas Detenido

Roberto "Cóndor" Rojas, no podrá abandonar el país en los próximos 25 días que durará la investigación penal que la Fiscalía Oriente abrió en su contra, luego que fuera acusado de agredir a una mujer y un hombre.

El fiscal Claudio Suazo relató ante la jueza Karen Atala, como el ex futbolista agredió a Sandra Toro y a Mauricio Barril a quienes les propinó golpes, resultando estos dos con lesiones menos graves.

El hecho ocurrio en la comuna de La Florida, ayer por la tarde cuando las víctimas iban saliendo en un vehículo desde una casa de un condominio de calle Rojas Magallanes y por una mala maniobra chocaron al deportista.

Éste se habría enojado por los daños causados a su vehículo y despues de un intercambio de palabras, habría lanzado un par de manotazos a Toro, su hija y acompañantes.

Rojas iba acompañado de su pareja, la brasileña Vivianne Aparecida Bruno, quien también fue formalizada hoy por golpear a otra mujer identificada como Sofía Carvajal.

Ambos quedaron sujetos a arraigo nacional y tiene prohibición de acercarse a sus víctimas, según dictaminó la jueza Atala. La fiscalía descartó combos en la pelea y estableció que sólo se habría tratado de golpes con la palma abierta.

Actor Jonathan Rhys-Meyers Intento Suicidarse

El actor norteamericano Jonathan Rhys-Meyers, conocido principalmente por su rol en la serie “The Tudors”, intentó suicidarse durante la últimajornada ingiriendo una enorme cantidad de pastillas y tuvo que ser atendido de urgencia.

Rhys-Meyers ha pasado cinco veces por centros de rehabiltiación para ganarle a su adicción al alcohol. Según The Sun, los vecinos dicen que pasó media hora desde que llegó la ambulancia a su casa en Londres hasta que se lo pudieron llevar, porque puso resistencia.

"Yo vi cómo llegaba la ambulancia y se preocupaban por su muerte. Jonathan es un chico estupendo. Está todo el rato en la calle. Te saluda y es muy agradable. Espero que esté bien", dijo un testigo.

Ya recibió el alta y ha sido consultado al respecto, pero sólo respondió “sin comentarios” sobre la pregunta de si intentó suicidarse. En la policía confirman la hospitalización del actor, que se tuvo que realizar a la fuerza, pero sin detallar más.

Bachmann, too pretty to be a feminist, yet still mistreated by media because she’s a conservative woman

The first major decision Barack Obama ever made was to select Joe Biden as his vice president.

It was an early indicator that Obama didn’t know what he was doing. And his time as president has confirmed it with miserable approval ratings.
If I listed all of Joe Biden’s gaffes in his nearly 30 year career as a politician, Google would shut down my blog for excessive memory use.

Yet, he gets to be a heartbeat away from the presidency and the Leftwing media glosses over his incompetence saying, “That’s just Joe!”

However, this past week the media has been all over Bachmann like starving mice looking for cheese trying to derail her presidential aspirations at any costs.


Although they won’t admit it, I think it’s because she’s an attractive married conservative woman that makes most troll-like feminists look worse.

Let’s face it. Feminism has always been a pathway for the “truly ugly”, “not so pretty”, “plain”, and “she’s got a great personality” among us a seat at the table.

That’s why the long knives are out for Bachmann.

No girl-power rhetoric here: Michele Bachmann tells Kirsten Powers she’s just an “empowered American” who takes media indignities foreign to the average male pol in stride.

Bachmann seemed loath to engage in the kind of girl-power rhetoric utilized by Palin and Hillary Clinton, who both invoked the perennial—and so far unbreakable—presidential glass ceiling.

Said Bachmann: “I’m a woman comfortable in her own skin. I grew up with three brothers. My parents didn’t see us [as] limited [by gender]. I would mow the lawn and take out the trash; I was making my own fishing lures. I went along with everything the boys did.”

Bachmann is still doing everything the boys do, but as a female candidate she endures indignities that are foreign to your average male pol. Yet she takes it all in stride.

In a joint interview with Bachmann last year, then-Sen. Arlen Specter lectured her to “act like a [lady]” when she strenuously disagreed with him on a point. A recent Rolling Stone diatribe by Matt Taibbi called her “completely batshit crazy” with a “retro-Stepford image.” MSNBC’s Chris Matthews has accused her of being “hypnotized” on the air and has referred to the three-term House member and former tax attorney as a “balloon head.”

True, the media have a field day playing up her every misstep—most recently her assertion that the Founding Fathers “worked tirelessly” to end slavery—but we should know by now what that is about. (Hint: She’s a woman with presidential aspirations.) If Joe Biden’s gaffes had received half the attention of Bachmann’s, nobody would take him seriously, either.

Actor de Power Ranger es Condenado a Muerte : Skylar Deleon

El actor Skylar Deleon, conocido por su participación en la serie infantil 'Power Rangers', fue condenado a muerte por el Tribunal de Santa Ana en California luego de ser declarado culpable del asesinato de una pareja.

El actor de 29 años, su esposa y otro cómplice intentaban, robar un yate, que estaba avaluado en un millón de dólares.

Al parecer el actor no tiene escrúpulos. En 2004 Deleon cuya infancia no fue nada fácil y que tenía en ese momento problemas con las drogas, amarró a la pareja a un ancla para finalmente lanzarlos al mar.

Pero su historia en medio de los crímenes no comenzó allí. El actor ya se encontraba cumpliendo pena en la cárcel tras el asesinato en 2003 de un hombre de 45 años al que degolló para robarle 50.000 euros.

Estudiantes en Noticiero de UCV : 29 Julio 2011

Estudiantes de la Universidad Católica de Valparaíso inesperadamente entraron esta tarde la transmisión del noticiario de UCV Televisión en vivo, tras lo cual comenzaron a leer un comunicado, en el marco de las movilizaciones de la educación superior.

En ese instante, el director del programa cortó la emisión para poner comerciales. Al regreso, el canal siguió con la serie Los Pitufos.

Macarena Santelices, conductora del noticiero central de UCV, escribió en su cuenta de Twitter: "Si efectivamente se tomaron el estudio, el switch, pero ya llego carabineros".

Marcha de Mañana 30 de Junio

Los estudiantes creen que la marcha de sera clave , se espera congregar a secundarios, universitarios, profesores y trabajadores de centros educacionales, con el fin de negociar de manera unificada y con un petitorio común con el Gobierno.

Se espera superar la última gran manifestación del 17 de junio, también en reivindicación por la educación pública. El secretario general de la Confech, Juan Cristóbal Lagos, afirmó que “queremos que se supere esa cantidad de manifestantes, cuando se llegó a 100.000 personas protestando por la Alameda”.

Unas 35 organizaciones ciudadanas, ambientales y sociales se reunieron en la Asociación Nacional de Empleados Fiscales para coordinar su participación en la manifestación que pretenden iniciar a partir de las 10:30 de la mañana en Plaza Italia .

Los trabajadores de salud municipalizada, Asociación de Barrios Patrimoniales, representantes de la Familia Hito de Rapa Nui, Fundación Víctor Jara, Corporación Cultural de Valparaíso, Agrupación de Familiares de Ejecutados Políticos y la Agrupación “Alerta Chile” que reúne a usuarios de redes sociales adhirieron públicamente a la protesta.

“Mañana el sistema público estará funcionando de manera normal, pero en los servicios se realizarán asambleas donde se abordarán los desafíos de la educación pública y las temáticas internas que cada organismo quiera debatir”, dijo el presidente de la ANEF, Raúl de la Puente.

Judge Jeffrey S. Sutton wrote, “In my opinion, the government has the better of the arguments.” He added, “Not every intrusive law is an unconstitutionally intrusive law.”

How does that make sense? I wish Judge Sutton, who’s obviously a Lindsey Graham-type Republican, that is to say a RINO, had given an example of what the heck he was talking about.
I’m not a lawyer, but I still don’t understand under the concept of Federalism how the federal government can usurp the power of states and force people in all 50 to buy health insurance. That’s unconstitutional on its face. With that logic, the fed govt cam makes people do, or not do anything.

The Obama administration on Wednesday prevailed in the first appellate review of the 2010 health care law as a three-judge panel from the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit held that it was constitutional for Congress to require that Americans buy health insurance.

The ruling by the Cincinnati court is the first of three opinions to be delivered by separate courts of appeal that heard arguments in the health care litigation in May and June. Opinions are expected soon from panels in both the Fourth Circuit in Richmond, Va., and the Eleventh Circuit in Atlanta.

Lawyers on both sides of the case widely expect the Supreme Court to take one or more of the cases, perhaps as soon as its coming term, which starts in October. The speed of the Sixth Circuit ruling could help ensure that timing.

The opinion was the first to not break down strictly along seemingly partisan lines. In the 2-to-1 ruling, a judge appointed by a Republican president joined one named by a Democrat to write the majority opinion.

In various cases at the lower District Court level, five judges have divided on the question, with three Democratic appointees backing the law and two Republican appointees rejecting it.

As they look ahead to the Supreme Court, the law’s defenders can take encouragement from the concurring opinion written by Judge Jeffrey S. Sutton, an appointee of President George W. Bush, a Republican. Judge Sutton is typically considered conservative on questions of constitutional reach.

After acknowledging the difficulty of pinpointing the limits on Congress’s power to regulate interstate commerce, Judge Sutton wrote, “In my opinion, the government has the better of the arguments.” He added, “Not every intrusive law is an unconstitutionally intrusive law.”

Joining Judge Sutton was Judge Boyce F. Martin Jr., an appointee of President Jimmy Carter, a Democrat. Dissenting on the central issues was Judge James L. Graham, a District Court judge appointed by President Ronald Reagan who is on temporary assignment to the Sixth Circuit.

The appeal, which was heard by the panel on June 1, came in a challenge filed by the Thomas More Law Center, a conservative public interest firm in Ann Arbor, Mich. In its 69-page ruling, the panel upheld Judge George C. Steeh of Federal District Court in Detroit, who concluded that choosing not to buy health insurance was a consequential commercial decision that could be regulated by Congress under the Commerce Clause of the Constitution.

Inesperadamente Jessica Alonso,deja el programa de La Red Así Somos para asumir otro trabajo fuera de la television.

Sera la nueva musa de Benni, quien se lanzará con una revista que pretende hacerle pelea a Che Copete y Mauricio Flores.

La argentina declaro: "Estoy contenta porque al teatro de revistas de Che Copete y Mauricio Flores ahora se agrega Benni y lo mejor es que voy a ser su musa".

Diana Bolocco Deja 40 o 20 y Entra Carla Constant

Otro inesperado cambio se viene en 40 ó 20 de Canal 13, ya que su animadora, Diana Bolocco, cederá su puesto nada menos que a Karla Constant, quien regresó desde Argentina para quedarse en el país.

Según fuentes del canal, se debe a que Diana, habría decidido tomarse vacaciones para disfrutar estas fechas con sus hijos, con el compromiso de volver nuevamente a la animación de Alfombra Roja, programa del que se había mantenido alejada por un buen tiempo.

Los rumores dicen qoe Bolocco habría dejado el Alfombra debido al bajo rating que marcaba y fue ahí cuando aceptó animar 40 ó 20, esperanzada en que la sintonía la acompañaría.

Sin embargo no fue asi y pidió volver nuevamente al programa de farándula.

Previendo el panorama sin Diana, hace unas semanas ejecutivos del Dating Show empezaron las gestiones para repatriar a Karla, quien no la pensó dos veces y aceptó el desafío.

Constant empezó las grabaciones diarias este lunes, las cuales se han extendido hasta altas horas de la madrugada.

Nuevo Escandalo de Kalimba : Gay

Nuevo escándalo en la vida de Kalimba ,ahora es acusado de haber mantenido contacto sexual con un jovencito de nombre Diego Urdapilleta.

El director de la revista TVNotas, medio que publico la noticia, señaló que que radica en Veracruz, se comunicó con él, hablaron y le señaló que no tenía porque decir que la revista era un asco dado que él mismo publicó esa información en su red social.

Origel señaló que a lo mejor lo amenazaron o algo sucedió que ahora busca desmentir la información, “se asustó”.

El reportero Jorge Carvajal fue quien hizo la nota y la dio a conocer con la información del propio joven quien la publicó.

En la nota se da a conocer que el veracruzano habría señalado, “entramos al baño y de pronto Kalimba me dijo, hazme sexo oral”, asimismo indicó que al terminar el cantante lo amenazó para que no contara nada de lo sucedido.

En el programa Ventaneando el joven tambien declaro que nada de lo dicho es verdad, que no conoce a Kalimba.

Soedad Onetto Llega a Mega

Vienen cambios en los noticiarios de Mega y seria Meganoticias central, el que más novedades tendría, debido a que fuentes del canal dan a conocer que se estaría decidiendo cambiar a su rostro ancla, que por estos días es Bernardo de la Maza, y poner a Soledad Onetto y Juan José Lavín al mando de este programa informativo.

La idea sería darle un nuevo aire al noticiario, y es así como hace un par de semanas se ha estado negociando con Onetto para que se integre a sus filas, así como también ella ha tenido conversaciones con TVN. De acuerdo a cercanos a la periodista, “ella todavía no ha firmado con algún canal” y seguiría evaluando y conversando las propuestas.

Según se informo, Maritxu Sangroniz está próxima a regresar a las pantallas luego de su post natal, claro que no lo haría a “Meganoticias central”, en donde estaba anteriormente, sino que a la edición del mediodía del noticiario de Mega, a la vez que Bernardo de la Maza no estaría contemplado dentro de estas reformulaciones y Catalina Edwards se encuentra en período de pre y post natal, por lo que se necesitan nuevos conductores para los informativos. José Luis Reppening, por su parte, continuará en el noticiario de la mañana.

Tigre é um dos melhores amigos da ministra italiana do Turismo

Michela Vittoria Brambila, ministra italiana do turismo, apareceu recentemente num vídeo colocado no youtube a brincar com o seu tigre de estimação. O vídeo gerou de imediato reacções controversas, sendo que várias associações de defesa dos animais já mostraram o seu desagrado. A notícia é avançada pela Euronews.

Um vídeo feito em casa da ministra italiana, retrata-a a brincar com um tigre, no seu jardim. Entre abraços, caricias e brincadeiras com uma bola, o tigre responde como se fosse um animal doméstico. As imagens enfureceram algumas associações de defesa dos direitos dos animais, que afirmam que, pelas suas reacções, o tigre só poderia estar sedado. O partido "Os Verdes" italiano afirma que o vídeo é completamente "vergonhoso", dizendo que os tigres não devem viver em cativeiro.

A ministra não esclarece em que condições é que obteve o tigre, dizendo apenas que o salvou de "um terrível destino". Brambilla diz ainda que para ela o tigre simboliza a batalha contra a exploração de animais em circos: "Não queremos destruir a arte circense, mas não é aceitável que num país como Itália exista espaço para circos que submetem animais a tortura física e psicológica, e que os obrigam a viver em jaulas e a fazer espectáculos que em nada são educativos para as crianças".

O tigre pode, no entanto, ter de competir pela atenção da ministra, já que partilha casa com 15 cães, 30 gatos, 4 cavalos, 2 macacos, 7 cabras e 200 pombos.

well, I went into your town yesterday, to Trader Joe's and I was stone cold sober..if the cops stopped me and arrested me for drunk driving then I will investigate them...

but on the way back I ran three stop signs and almost hit a Mexican dude in a crosswalk in Montecito...and no cops stopped me so I guess it might be true that the Santa Barbara police are biased against drunk drivers...

so the Peter Lance series spawned some more series from the News-Press..now Lanny Ebenstein's got a two parter about public pensions and his solution..an economic lecture from a slumlord who is losing his properties to foreclosure in Eureka...what next, a three- parter from a child molester on how to babysit?? ....and still no letters to the NP editor about the series...I guess to Wendy, freedom of speech is a one way street! geez these folks are wackos

speaking of wackos, some folks (a weird convergence of Mesa architects) are trying to make me slow down on Cliff Drive.... they say they want to protect their kids but we know damn well it's their dogs they are concerned about...the council and even Mike Self caved to the pressure and now we all have to go slow on a state highway so we don't upset some designer dogs!!

When I go to La Cumbre Plaza to shop, I like to come back thru Hope Ranch, visit Wendy and Snoop, and then hit the gas right around Hendry's..on up that hill to the Mesa...that's a cool hill and I got a V8 so I love passing those little toy cars the hippies and yuppies drive...VAROOOOOM!! dust them bad!!

With a four-barrel carb and a dual exhaust, with 4-11 gears you can really get lost. Got safety tubes but I ain't scared, the brakes are good, tires fair.

Imagenes Funeral de Rafaella Polidura : Hija de Marisela

Hoy en el Parque del Recuerdo se realizarán los funerales de Rafaelita, la pequeña hija de Marisela Santibáñez que murio en la mañana de ayer producto de una leucemia.

La actriz hablo hoy con los matinales donde expresó nuevamente el agradecimiento a todas las personas que han acompañado a su familia, tanto los rostros televisivos como a las personas anónimas que han llegado hasta la Iglesia Santa Gemita para despedirse de la pequeña de siete años.

Marisela también dijo que la fortaleza que ha mostrado todo este tiempo: "eso de ser una mujer fuerte muchos no lo creyeron, pensaron que era pantalla, acá lo estoy demostrando, pelié, y ahora ella es la fuerza que tengo".

Con respecto al funeral de Rafaela, Marisela pidió globos, porque "ésta es una fiesta, mi gorda era una niña feliz, bailaba, y esta es una fiesta, de una flor que se fue al cielo, con lágrimas en los ojos, pero con el corazón lleno de alegría".

También indicó que todos los compañeros de curso de Rafaela la acompañarán en el funeral, "va a ser el ángel de todos los niños de este país", sostuvo Marisela.

En tanto, Marisela aseguró en el contacto con Buenos días a todos, que desde ahora su nueva lucha será por todos lo padres que tienen hijos con cáncer.

La misa fúnebre se realizar a las 13.00 horas en la iglesia Santa Gemita, donde llegaron un centenar de personas ademas de la familia y amigos cercanos, incluso la barra de Colo Colo se hizo presente, el cortejo se dirigio al cementerio Parque del Recuerdo, sin antes pasar por la pergola miles de flores fueron lanzadas en homenaje a la pequeña Rafaela Polidura Santibáñez.
