"24" Theatrical Movie Probably 2 Years Away

There has been a great deal of speculation as to when and if there will be a "24" movie released in the theatres. At first it was thought it may be shot and released in between seasons, then the talk was that it will be made after the TV series is finished.

The latter has been pretty much confirmed by Kiefer Sutherland according to this recent quote (from The Sun UK):

"The actor — who plays Jack Bauer in the series — said: “It is hard enough to write it. So we all agreed that for the writers and their sanity, we wouldn’t approach doing a film without them, so we would wait until the show is finished. “And then we would do a film. I think it’s a couple of years off.”

This isn't really a surprise and it makes sense given the heavy demands on the writers for this type of program. This is the first I have seen Kiefer actually confirm what was pretty much expected regarding the movie.
