Byrdland

eight miles high
so I saw a story about Chris Hillman doing Recording for the Blind session..there was a picture of him and a bunch of KTYD DJs on Noozhawk...now here's a good nonprofit that I fully support...give your time and money to keep them going...and Chris Hillman was part of the California music elite with bands like the Byrds, Flying Burrito Bros and Manassas...some of the best music I've ever heard and continue to enjoy...KTYD should play his stuff more often!
to contrast, here's some useless non profits
the California Invasive Species Council
... if you are really really stupid, you can check their website for guidance on what to plant in your garden..but whatever you do don't plant eucalyptus trees because they are non native, invasive and flammable..well, come to think of it, so am I! But really, these folks have long tortured lists of plants that will fuck with your mind because they are labeled non-native...what do these plants do? Well, according to the ISC, they "choke, crowd, invade, are exotic, don't belong here, are a menace and other emotional laden nonsense designed to scare gullible people out of their money....the fact is extermination of non native species has created ecological damage and unintended consequences!
The Audubon Society...
net assets: $303,253,253
John Flicker President $315,000 Alethea Pratt Vice President, CIO $332,082 Glenn Olson Vice President, State Director $317,922
they dress in Hitler-type khaki shorts, they are all white, they hate cats and they try to tell birds where to nest. They run a bird census every year with their little binoculars and the more I learn about them, the more I want to beat them up! Believe me, birds are better off without this non-profit....when they say things like "hawks shouldn't nest in Eucalyptus trees because they get a a false sense of security" or "eucs may create monarch sinks the way they create bird sinks--that is, monarchs are attracted to them, then get blown out by storms, perishing by the tens of thousands. "Monarchs are declining, and I would argue that eucs may be the reason," he says...
what???cutting down eucs is the reason Monarchs are disappearing you dumbass!! see what I mean, see what I'm dealing with? and look at this: two big beautiful trees by a local creek, one a eucalyptus and one an oak. The hawks chose the euc for their nest....'nuff said
the Audubon Society is now on my radar.....
