Actor Kiefer Sutherland appeared on the morning talk shows Good Morning America and Live with Regis and Kelly to discuss his new Broadway play That Championship Season. While there, he also confirmed that a 24 movie is actually happening.

"People come up to me and say they love the show. Its funny, because I don't feel like we finished. Its still such a presence in my life. There will (be a movie). We will hopefully start next January, and Tony Scott is one of the directors who has expressed great interest in doing it. I think he would be fantastic. I am really excited to do that."
