We know things have been slow for him since Jack Bauer bowed out and off our screens.

But someone should tell Kiefer Sutherland that there is no longer any chance of a role in the Harry Potter movies.

The 44-year-old actor was snapped sporting round black glasses just like the bespectacled boy wizard as he signed autographs in New York today.

The 24 star was pictured sporting the eye wear outside the Good Morning America studios.

He was on the early show to promote his new Broadway play That Championship Season on Broadway, in which he is currently starring alongside Chris Noth and Brian Cox.

It is his second big project since 24 came to an end last year and for which he became an even bigger household name for his role as agent Jack Bauer.

In a couple of months, Kiefer will start promotional work for his upcoming film Melancholia, a disaster film also starring Kirsten Dunst and Charlotte Gainsbourg, and is due for release on May.

He is set to give his voice to an upcoming Simpsons episode and may also be returning to our TV screens in person.

He will star in a new show called Touch, which he will start filming the pilot for after his Broadway stint in June.

The series is about a father who discovers that his autistic, mute son can predict events before they happen.

Kiefer may also be among the star-studded line-up for the new version of Dallas.
