OVERHEAD!!!

NewsPress proposes State Street Bailout!! Ignores real stories like the sky is falling over us all..the poison jet conspiracy theory...

If business is bad, blame anti-business City Hall! so says the NewsPress..and while they are blabbing this nonsense, they are trying to prevent businesses on Coast Village Road and elsewhere from expanding! I can't believe the goofiness coming out of the NewsPress building...esp the editorial desk..the latest is they have recycled an old Dr. Laura column about State Street businesses leaving, changed a few words, and blamed City Hall for the problems! They say the economy has nothing to do with it...Wendy, no wonder your business is losing money, you don't know what the fuck you're talking about.. but lemme help: Most State Street businesses don't last very long..you'd know this if you lived here more than a few years..the I Magnin building you bought with Craig McCaw's money no longer has a ladies clothing store in it..is that Helene's or Iya's fault?
It all comes down to demand and marketing..if you sell junk, you won't last. If I can buy it on the internet for cheaper, I will.
Apple is spending $2 million to reconstruct the building at 928 State Street, and signed a 10-year lease for $67,000 a month. $67,000 per month!! Is that Das or Dale's fault..do they set rents or leases?
American taxpayers are bailing out criminal private industries...is that also city hall's fault?
Of course not..it is the fault of the business owner...the ones who offer nothing, can't follow simply rules, can't serve the customer, don't have business skills, don't value employees, and can't compete in an ever-changing market.

That's why some folks are better off doing something else for a living....something important..like an associate editor.. or a jet pilot...
and why isn't the NewsPress investigating real stories like all those jets passing over..I've heard the contrails contain poison chemicals designed to kill the weaker ones among us..kind of a population control program! send Travis over to interview Marty about that!! I bet she knows sumthin...
