ok..it's May and hotter than Mojave in my heart...
I woke up with ladybugs in my house, they were seeking a cool respite I think, as another fire has erupted in the Santa Barbara foothills; the humidity level is around 20%, the temp is 
hovering around 100 degrees, giant hillside houses are burning down..weed abatement around these monster homes didn't help because embers riding on hot Santana Winds seek out houses, then destroy...and still people keep building where they shouldn't....
so..is all this mayhem due to human caused global warming...6 billion folks at 98.8 degrees makes for a hot kitchen..
when the Light Blue Line folks were warning us about impending disaster, seeking art funds to paint our city street with a reminder to change our ways..they were tarred and feathered...Helene Schneider, who promoted the artistic/environmental grafitti party was ridiculed...the News-Press used the event to mock Helene over and over...but now we see the wisdom of the BLUE LINERS....I now see how much we need blue lines...they serve as a barrier to control our own stupid behavior..to be more sensitive to the earth, to stop building monster homes in high fire areas..and now taxpayers are paying to protect them! Nature says: no way
So the next time someone comes before the city council with a goofy idea, don't be so quick to judge them..they just may save you from yourself!
