Jack Says Goodbye To Kim

After finally locating the nuclear bomb at the airport, the Nuclear Emergency Team could not diffuse the bomb so it was determined by the President and CTU that the best way to get the bomb away from LA, would be to have it flown to a precise location in the Mohave Desert. Although it could be safely detonated there, unfortunately the pilot would have to go down with the plane in order to ensure it reached the precise location.
Jack Bauer decided he should be the one to do this and he told Tony that he could not order anyone else to do this mission. Before taking his final flight, Jack called Tony begging him to find his daughter Kim so he could say goodbye.
Luckily, Kim called CTU and Tony put her in touch with Jack as he was flying the plane containing the nuclear bomb.
This sets up one of the most emotional and touching scenes ever shown on "24".
Wonderfully acted by both Kiefer Sutherland and Elisha Cuthbert, this scene shows that "24" is more than an action/thriller; it also can pull off the emotional scenes just as effectively.
