I watch with amusement as the newest members of the SBCC try to deal with marijuana dispensaries...first off, how the phukk did you people elect Mike Self?? Have you listened to her? this woman is one dumb bunny!!!! Watch her...she described the latest ordinance as a choice between "rotten meat and a rotten banana"...what kind of a analogy is that..what's in this pig's refrigerator?? Well, she looks like a pig to me! Then she goes on and on and on about Holland and Amsterdam and a bunch of unrelated issues to try and ban dispensaries in Santa Barbara..then Dale Francisco tried to strike a deal and allow the dispensaries but put a ban vote on the Nov ballot..he said the dispenaries were illegal and are nothing more than pot stores where dealers push drugs....Hotchkiss kept getting excited and riled and wants to ban ban ban because the cops and school board told him to..he screamed "no no no" to any compromise..pure politics and a waste of resources busting people who smoke a little weed...In 2008, the state of California made about 78,500 arrests on felony and misdemeanor charges related to marijuana..dispensaries throughout California are being raided and harrassed for political reasons..
so Francisco suggested a ban vote be put on the ballot..it will allow people in SB to decide whether they want to ban pot dispensaries..but the state also will have a California Marijuana Legalization Initiative (2010) and if it passes will surely conflict with the SB initiative! another waste of taxpayers money!! you can't ban something that is legal!!
meanwhile the casino wants another liquor license and the ZOO held a beerfest and some dumbass parents are killing their kids with psychotropic drugs to "calm them down"... Hotchkiss, Self and Francisco are just hypocrites!!
I really hope none of these folks on the council gets cancer and needs something that rightwingers don't want them to have to kill the pain ..it is silly all the fussing over this issue...we got drug pushers already in the liquor stores, drug stores, grocery stores and you can buy all the Mike's Lemonade you want to self medicate...but a joint they won't let you have? well, you can always try a morphine-drip if that pesky cancer causes too many ouchies...
