Celebrate! Celebrate!

dance to the music....
well, summer is almost over and I wasn't aware it was even here having spent most of it in a fog...and Labor Day is right around the corner and isn't that the day our Wendy fires someone, preferably a union member? Well, she can't fire me that's for sure...but I heard she fired Barry the Barrister or at least put him on waivers probably because he used to work for the city and we all know about those city employees....
we know that Tom Watson and friends like the News-Press want to put Lois Capps out of a job, but Lois always hangs tough. The only thing the Teabaggers can say about her is they don't the shape of her district and she broke her promise..she's a woman so she can change her mind anytime she wants and her daughter has a pretty nice shape so, if that's all you got against her Tom, you're gonna lose again...
so everywhere I look there's people celebrating non-profits. I'll say this until I swallow my tongue: start taxing churches and nonprofits and you solve budget problems..they are sitting on billions of reserves and most give out a miniscule amount to their intended charity victims...if elected, I will introduce a bill to kill the tax-exempt status of nonprofits and we'll watch them run for the hills!!
but let's look at some local NPs, shall we?
Alzheimer's Assistance Fund..sounds good
Architectural Foundation...a real necessity!
Cancer Center..cancer is a bitch, but how much money can you throw at it??
Friendship Center..who would go to place called Friendship Center...if you're lonely, deal with it!
Family Care Network...families are sick!! get out while you can!!
Montecito Bank and Trust..what? since when are banks nonprofits??
Scholarship Foundation...instead of working your way through college, some rich people pay your way!
Center for Successful Aging
...WTF is up with this...time sucks you dry and Nature kills you..sorry!
Hearts Therapeutic Equestrian Center
...whatever happened to camps where kids would go and spend the summer riding horses, doing crafts, sleeping in bunkhouses? That's what we need more of, not these nonprofits...healthy bodies equal healthy minds!

Non-Profit institutions are frequent targets for fraud, presumably because the controls on collecting, spending and recording the finances are so much more casual than those of the business community. Lax controls lead to others taking advantage of the situation and stealing.
so ask yourselves, why do they keep asking you for more money??
