On Meet the Press this morning he spoke a good game of loving gay people (while fighting against their rights). But though he declared that his "role is to love everybody" (which presumably would include gay Ugandans), this love seems not to stretch quite enough to oppose their execution and life-long incarceration.

Rick Warren caught my attention when one of his flock, Mark Affleck, was on the California Avocado Commission, using money from the nonprofit to remodel his house and go on expensive trips..he resigned after he was busted. The obscure, Irvine-based California Avocado Commission spent wildly and with few controls, dropping nearly $2 million on questionable credit card purchases and employee perks; lavish hotel stays replete with booze, body treatments, massages and facials; season tickets to Mighty Ducks and Angels games; remodeling an executive’s home office; and much more over a three-year period, according to a state auditor’s report. It happened on the watch of former Commission president (and current Saddleback Church global outreach leader) Mark Affleck , and blame is being laid at his feet."I’m extremely unhappy that we were hoodwinked. I think our good nature was taken advantage of by our former president and CEO," said Avocado Commission Board Chairman Rick Shade. "I would like the people to know the board has seized control of this commission and is working very hard to make things right."
It doesn't take more than a glance to notice what a fraud Rick Warren is...so typical of pastors who preach hatred and get money from fellow haters..all in the name of the bible. I got my eye on a few pastors in Carp...Now we see that rightwing Christians in America are behind a Uganda Bill that would allow the death penalty for gays who have sex!!! The Ugandans cited propaganda by Richard Cohen, a mentor of Rick Warren...he's a gay guy who claims to have gone straight and he'll help other gays if they buy his DVD! Apparently the Ugandans have DVD players over there...they used his testimony and material to write the "Kill Gays" bill!

This is the same intolerance the KKK worshipped in the early 1900s...killing blacks because they were blacks! Now we know that Uganda is not the most enlightened place in the world, with a history of violence and ignorance, (kinda like America! ) but the world must react strongly to this voodoo anti-gay nonsense..civil rights cannot be denied to certain groups because another group fears them..for they know not what they do
