the Love Train...

if you miss it, I'll feel sorry for you...

I am so excited about Sarah Palin's visit to SB and the Young Miss America Foundation, I can hardly keep it in my pants!! and I hear that Carrie Prejean will be there..pre-jeans, pre-panties..it's all good!!

anyway, Sarah has needs and these must be fullfilled if you want her to speak at your event...she's got a full itinerary, so treat her like a lady, would ya?? now, I've included the O'Jays itinerary from the 1970s when I was one of their roadies of sorts...traveling from town to town everyday was an eye-opener..no sleep just work all the time..work and drive work and drive and get a little per diem for food...but so much fun after the gigs...I'll tell you about it sometime...that was the summer of soul!!

now, I dug up this contract for Sarah's visit to Turlock, California..so I imagine she will require the same or more in Santa Barbara....let's show our working gal Sarah a good time, ok??

SECURITY:due to the speaker's high profile, her security is of the utmost importance

TRAVEL: customer shall be responsible for round trip first class airfare..for west coast events, aircraft must be a Lear 60 or larger...upon arrival at event, ground transporation must be by SUV..if an SUV is not available, black town cars may be substituted

ACCOMMODATIONS: the speaker will stay in a deluxe hotel with one to two bedroom suites

AUDIENCE Q and A: questions will be from a moderator or representative approved by the speaker

PRESS AND MEDIA: all requests for press and media access must be approved by speaker

AUTOGRAPHS: will not be permitted unless agreed to at the firm invitaion stage

PHOTO OPPs: in order to insure that screened guests have an opportunity for pictures, these are the number of clicks allowed per photo op length: 75 clicks/45 mins; 100 clicks/60 mins; 90 clicks/125 mins

PARTICIPANT INFORMATION: speaker must know: audience profile, sequence of events; theme and purpose of event

PRIVATE BUSINESS: the speaker at her discretion, may engage in private business and political doings and may do an overnight at host government's official residence...

COMPENSATION: the speaker will receive $100,000 per event..amount subject to change.

ok so you know what's going to happen, don't you..Sarah is going to fall in love with Santa Barbara..the sheer beauty of the place even with the News-Press and conservative bobble -heads on the council crying about the homeless (complete over-reaction)..Sarah is still going fall in love with the place and look for property to buy..it's beautiful, close enough to her daughter in Arizona, got enough Tea baggers in town to make her feel safe...and there's nothing I can do about it....get on board everybody join in join the love train love train...and the love train stops in Santa Barbara on Friday!

Stop complaining about the weather and do what you gotta do!

“Oh, I wish it was spring already. I’m so tired of this,” an unidentified New Yorker.

SHUT UP!

I’m getting so tired of hearing people complain abut the rough winter weather we’ve been having in the Northeast.

Gimmie a break!

I don’t like it much either. My back is killing me from all the shoveling I’ve been doing after 8 winter storms. But, geez enough already with the bitching and moaning and toughen up for God’s sakes.

We used to be a tough breed as a society. But, now we’ve become so soft it’s ridiculous.

Compared to generations of the past who came here on rinky-dink wooden ships on a voyage that took weeks if not months, we’re as squishy as dry sponges.

Our forefathers had to deal with really harsh winters without central heating, snow blowers, space heaters, footie pajamas, and Oprah Winfrey and they seemed to manage okay.

A society that gets too sophisticated and comfortable with their IPads, GPS, laptops, and texting somebody every damn 10 seconds will eventually be conquered either from within, or without.

We used to say when the going gets tough, the tough gets going.

Get tough again, if you want to survive as a nation.
