Citizen Candidate Carl Paladino face politically correct crucible. What about his constitutional rights?

The Last Tradition is a very small and insignificant blog. I don’t carry any weight at all. But, let me speak in favor of Carl Paladino.

How often have you watched a politician, any politician no matter the party and wished they would just answer questions in a straight manner?

Why couldn’t they say what they mean and mean what they say?

Carl Paladino said he wasn’t politically correct and I thought that such a declaration was a breath of fresh air.

Then he said he didn’t want kids brain-washed into thinking that Homosexuality was an acceptable way of life.

I agreed with his comments and millions of New Yonkers do too. However, Paladino is being excoriated by the media for being exactly what he said he was-politically incorrect.

Being politically correct means that you’re not allowed to believe and say what Christianity, Islam and Judaism teaches-that homosexuality is immoral.

Being politically correct means that a person’s 1st amendment right to practice a religion is rendered null and void because it conflicts with the sensibilities of other peoples (a much smaller minority) who practice little or no religion at all.

Being politically correct means constitutional rights can be cherry picked in favor of protected groups that will always demand more and more rights for themselves at the expense of others.

Being politically correct has us all living a cultural apartheid where it becomes impossible for anyone to say what they mean and mean what they say, and Carl Paladino is learning that lesson the most.

New York in the long run will be the worse for it with another tax and spend Democrat in the state house.

But, at least Andrew Cuomo is politically correct, right? That matters more than anything.

Obama Seeks Stay on Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell Ruling

I’m sure this will send the Gay and Lesbian community in a tailspin. Maybe they can claim Obama is being a bully like everybody else?

The New York Times reports that saying it is preparing to appeal a ruling striking down the law that bans gay men and women from serving openly in the United States military, the Obama administration on Thursday asked the federal judge who issued the ruling for an emergency stay of her decision.

In a set of filings before Judge Virginia Phillips of California, Obama administration officials argued that she should suspend her decision earlier this week to issue an injunction preventing the military from expelling gay and lesbian service members under the Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell law.

Last month, Judge Phillips ruled that the law was unconstitutional.

The filings included a 48-page declaration by Clifford L. Stanley, the under secretary of defense for personnel and readiness. He argued that immediately blocking that policy worldwide would create large logistical problems and would disrupt their own efforts to prepare the armed forces and work with Congress to repeal the policy in an orderly way.

During the appeal, “the military should not be required to suddenly and immediately restructure a major personnel policy that has been in place for years, particularly during a time when the nation is involved in combat operations overseas,” Mr. Stanley argued. “The stakes here are so high, and the potential harm so great, that caution is in order.”

State Opera pardons nude ballerina Karina Sarkissova and rehires her

The Austian Indepenent reports that a ballet dancer sacked by one of the most prestigious opera houses in the world after posing for photos naked has been given her job back.

Karina Sarkissova was dismissed by heads of the Vienna State Opera after a series of nude photographs were published in men's magazines Wiener and Penthouse.

State Opera director Dominique Meyer pointed out last week that the Russian had been "warned" to avoid the photos from going into print. The Frenchman added the whole ballet crew was "shocked" on seeing the pictures. Some of the risqué photographs were taken inside the opera, and the ballet dancer reportedly did not ask bosses for permission.

Now the blonde star – who is widely regarded as one of the best ballet dancers in the world – has been rehired. The State Opera announced today (Thurs) that it decided to pardon the mother of an eight-year-old son after she apologised.

Sarkissova said: "I realised when I was fired that I was wrong to have had those pictures taken without the directors' permission. I did not want to harm the State Opera’s reputation. Now I’m looking forward to do what I love the most: dancing."

This was a very deft performance by Christine O’Donnell who didn’t fall in the usual Liberal marginalization trap-Do you believe in evolution? I’ve seen Conservatives stumble over this question for years, but O’Donnell brought it to where the issues should be and stayed on message and rightly nailed Coons who is as Far left a candidate as you can get.



Democrat controlled states like California, New York, and Michigan are being run into the ground as a result of their tax and spend policies.

Christine O’Donnell, the Republican Delaware Senate candidate, and her Democratic opponent, Chris Coons, hurled personal attacks at each other in a nationally televised debate Wednesday night.



A feisty, aggressive Ms. O’Donnell called Mr. Coons a Marxist whose beliefs came from a socialist professor and said he would “rubber stamp” the policies of the Democrats in Washington. Mr. Coons raised questions about whether Ms. O’Donnell’s faith would drive her positions on social issues like abortion, prayer and evolution.



Pressed by CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer, Ms. O’Donnell refused to say whether she believed evolution was a myth, saying that “what I believe is irrelevant.” As she did throughout the first half of the debate, Ms. O’Donnell quickly tried to return the focus to Mr. Coons, saying, “I would argue there are more people who support my Catholic faith than his Marxist belief.”



Mr. Coons responded that the source of her charge – an article he wrote as a student – was “a joke” that his Republican friends at the time conceived when he registered as a Democrat.



“I am not now nor have I been anything but a clean-shaven capitalist,” Mr. Coons said.



Ms. O’Donnell entered the debate as the clear underdog in the polls, trailing Mr. Coons by double digits in many polls. Throughout the face-to-face exchange, Ms. O’Donnell was repeatedly on the offensive, hurling charges that Mr. Coons misspent public money as the top official in one of Delaware’s counties.

Black Bloggers (Jack and Jill Politics) Tells Obama “We’re not willing to be pimped.”

Poor President Obama, even his own peeps in the blogasphere objected to being “handled” to promote the Obama message.
At a recent gathering at the White House for Black journalists and bloggers, not everything went the way Obama wanted.

As reported in The New York Times:

Jack and Jill Politics also wrote about the feeling among some who attended Monday’s gathering that they were being used for political expediency. “We essentially told the White House that we are not willing to be ‘pimped,’” the blog said. “Oh, we used better articulation, but it was direct and could not be taken out of context, misunderstood or ignored.

Keli Goff, an author and blogger who writes for theloop21.com, a news and opinion Web site aimed at a black audience, agreed with that sentiment. “I respect that the second half of the briefing was off the record, but I feel comfortable enough to say I think we made it clear that we want to be taken just as seriously and receive the same measure of access as the mainstream outlets already do,” she said.

Paladino Bashing Continuums: GOP candidate rented to Gay Bar This is a scandal?

So New York’s hometown paper, The Daily News, thought it was a big scoop to discover the GOP candidate for NY Gov Carl Paladino collected money from a Gay Bars. It’s time to really polish up the Pulitzer Prize.

But, let me get this straight. Even though Carl Paladino disagrees with the Homo lifestyle as does the principles of Christianity, Islam, and Judaism, he’s being portrayed as the oddity?

Should he have discriminated against the Gay Bar?

It seems he didn’t let his personal views interfere with practicing equal opportunity.

The New York Daily News reports that Carl Paladino says kids shouldn't be "brainwashed" into thinking it's okay to be gay or be taken to a "disgusting" gay pride parade.
But he had no problem when his son, William, ran Cobalt, a nightclub once dubbed Buffalo's "gay club of the moment."

And he had no problem cashing the rent checks from Cobalt and another gay club called Buddies II, both of which were located for years in buildings he owned.

90-year-old Austrian woman has wrong leg amputated

The UK Telegraph reports that a 90-year-old Austrian woman had the wrong leg amputated by doctors, according to prosecutors.

The operating surgeon and a second doctor, who allegedly made the mistake when planning the operation, have been charged with bodily injury caused by negligence. They are expected to go on trial in November.

The now 91-year-old woman, who suffered from vascular disease, had gone into hospital in the Tyrolean town of Sankt Johann on June 16 to have a leg amputated.

After the procedure however, the doctors realised they had removed the wrong limb.

The Austrian hospital said human error as well as a breakdown in safety measures were to blame for the mistake, and the surgeon who handled the procedure was suspended after 25 years on the job.
The elderly woman finally had the correct limb amputated in a second operation a few days later.

Activist Judge Orders Injunction on ‘Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell’

Weasel Zippers says: Judicial activism at its finest. Note: So what is the military supposed to do now? Revert back to the old policy of seeking out and discharging gays?


The Associated Press reports that a federal judge ordered the military Tuesday to immediately stop enforcing its ban on openly gay troops, bringing the 17-year "don't ask, don't tell" policy closer than it has ever been to being abolished.

Justice Department attorneys have 60 days to appeal the injunction but did not say what their next step would be.

President Barack Obama has backed a Democratic effort in Congress to repeal the law, rather than in an executive order or in court.

Falcon Lake Investigator (Rolando Flores') in Missing Jet Skier Case Beheaded

These Mexican drug cartels don’t play.

CBS News reports that a Mexican police commander investigating the disappearance of an American tourist on a border lake plagued by pirates was killed, U.S. and Mexican officials said Tuesday.

The San Antonio Express-News is reporting that Rolando Flores' head was delivered to the Mexican military in a suitcase. Flores, the commander of state investigators in Ciudad Miguel Aleman who was part of a group investigating the reported shooting of David Hartley, was killed, said Ruben Rios, spokesman for the Tamaulipas state prosecutor's office.

U.S. officials have said threats from drug gangs who control the area around Falcon Lake have hampered the search for Hartley.

Hartley's wife, Tiffany, says she and her husband were attacked by pirates on the lake on Sept. 30, while they were returning to the United States from Mexico on Jet Skis. Hartley was shot and presumably fell into the lake.

David Axelrod Still Pushing GOP getting Foreign money allegations to fire up African Americans to Vote

The Lefty Bible, The New York Times, has concluded there is no evidence or bases in fact that the U.S. Chamber of Commerce is unlawfully using foreign money to spend on GOP candidates throughout the country.

If the so-called paper of record and other mainstream media outlets aren’t going along with Axelrod, you may wonder why is he continuing this attack?

The answer is simple.

Michelle Obama was a guest on the Micheal Baisden Show this afternoon and at one point in the interview, Baisden injected the topic of foreign money coming into the campaign for Republicans.

Baisden’s show is syndicated in over 70 cities and is very popular in the Black community. If Baisden is parroting Axelrod, other African American DJs across the country are dutifully following suit to spread the word with these scandalous and unfounded allegations.
Axelrod, Obama, and the Dems know that Black folks are easily motivated by sound bites. So it doesn’t matter that none of it is true. The only thing that counts is getting African Americans to vote.

The Plum Line reports that the White House will keep up its assault on outside spending by conservative groups and will continue to press the case about the U.S. Chamber of Commerce's foreign money, despite hints of retreat on the latter issue, senior adviser David Axelrod told me in an interview this afternoon.

Axelrod also took a shot at the fact-checkers at multiple news orgs who have concluded there is no evidence for the White House's broadside at the Chamber, suggesting fact-checkers should be "directing their ire" at the Chamber, rather than "in the wrong direction."

"The fact that these front groups are spending hundreds of millions of dollars from undisclosed sources on attack ads to influence these elections is a serious issue and we're going to continue to raise it," Axelrod told me.

He added: "As we've said from the beginning, the prospect that foreign controlled companies might somehow be involved, this was opened up in the Citizens United debate, and it continues to be a concern."

Republicans Prove Unpopular With Voters Against Obama in Poll

Here’s something Lefty blogs and Obots can hang their hats on.

But, it’s my opinion that you don’t have to be popular to get the job done.

The opposite is clearly true and Obama is the proof.

Bloomberg reports that Republican attacks on President Barack Obama’s policies are resonating with voters, even as many Americans give a thumbs-down to the party and some of its specific ideas, a Bloomberg National Poll shows.

Three weeks before the midterm elections, Republicans maintain a position of strength due to the commitment of their supporters and the likelihood they will vote.

The general Republican message of less spending, lower taxes and repeal of the health-care overhaul is connecting.

Pluralities of those polled support overturning the health-care measure -- Obama’s signature legislative accomplishment -- and back the “Pledge to America” that offers a road map for how Republicans would govern if they win congressional majorities.

Still, the poll suggests voters aren’t embracing Republicans as much as they are rejecting Democrats.

In the Bloomberg Poll, nearly half of likely voters -- 49 percent -- said they had an unfavorable view of the Republicans. Democrats have a narrow advantage on favorability, 47 percent to 45 percent.

Foreign Contributions: Investigating Obama Say what?

Ever since David Axelrod and the Obama White House have been making baseless accusations about foreign money flooding into GOP campaigns, I posted an article written by Pam Geller detailing overseas money Obama raked in for his presidential run.

Now Pam is stepping up her game to remind everybody what the mainstream media ignored about their favorite candidate.

Pam Geller at Big Government.com reports that it took years, but there is something I finally agree with Barack Obama and Al Franken on. Obama and his propaganda machine in the mainstream media, not to mention his party of corruption, are calling for an investigation of “foreign money” in campaigns.

Finally.

I have been calling for a special prosecutor for years, ever since I exposed the millions Obama received from Muslim nations, Hamas-controlled Gaza and other foreign countries.

Obama warned Thursday that “groups that receive foreign money are spending huge sums to influence American elections, and they won’t tell you where the money for their ads come from.” He also said that “just this week, we learned that one of the largest groups paying for these ads regularly takes in money from foreign corporations.”

Soros: I Can’t Stop a Republican ‘Avalanche’

Even the biggest Democrat money man on the planet knows enough to jump off the Obama sinking ship.

The Caucus says that George Soros, the billionaire financier who was an energetic Democratic donor in the last several election cycles but is sitting this one out, is not feeling optimistic about Democratic prospects.

“I made an exception getting involved in 2004,” Mr. Soros, 80, said in a brief interview Friday at a forum sponsored by the Bretton Woods Committee, which promotes understanding of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank.

“And since I didn’t succeed in 2004, I remained engaged in 2006 and 2008. But I’m basically not a party man. I’d just been forced into that situation by what I considered the excesses of the Bush administration.”

Mr. Soros, a champion of liberal causes, has been directing his money to groups that work on health care and the environment, rather than electoral politics. Asked if the prospect of Republican control of one or both houses of Congress concerned him, he said: “It does, because I think they are pushing the wrong policies, but I’m not in a position to stop it.

I don’t believe in standing in the way of an avalanche.”

Russian spy Anna Chapman has become the new celebrity face of a Moscow bank.

FondServisBank, which works with Russian companies in the aerospace industry, said Monday that it has hired Chapman to bring innovation to its information technologies. It did not escape Russians' attention that the initials of the bank, FSB, are the same as Russia's main spy agency.
