I know what you’re thinking.
How can anybody be a good racist?
Before I answer that, let me remind folks what happened last week on MSNBC after Obmaa’s SOTUS.
Chris Matthews who famously admitted he felt a tingle going up his leg whenever Obamam speaks, went a step further in his admiration for the first African American president of the United States by also saying he forgot Obama was black for an hour.
The mainstream media being colleagues and cheerleaders for anything Obamam says let Matthews slide for making a very racist comment.
What Matthews and other White Liberals are guilty of is the Racism of Low Expectations.
And Libs have been getting away with this type of racism for years and are never called out for it.
The dirty little secret is that buried deep in the psyche of White Liberals is the belief that Blacks can’t possibly achieve anything without social programs like Affirmative Action and other minority set asides.
Without the help of the White Liberal Blacks are eternally doomed to a life of inferior status unless they, the White Liberal, lift them up.
This is the same type of mentality that routinely manifests itself whenever a White Liberal encounters a Black man, any Black man that speaks without what Harry Reid calls a “Negro dialect”.
Such a Black man is labeled as “articulate” just for the ability of being able to put a sentence together without using phrases like, “ya know wha’ I’m sayin” or labeling any increment of time be it days, months, or years as a “minute” .
In addition, this Racism of Low Expectation is the basis why White Liberals hate and routinely malign Black Conservatives like Justice Clarence Thomas and Condoleezza Rice because they fall outside the template they have set forth.
Blacks such as Thomas and Rice never get the adoration nor adulation from White Liberals for their own great achievements because those types of Blacks are a threat to them and the lies they spread to the Black community. The message to Black folks is “you need us” to survive and be protected from Racists Republicans, and don’t you dare fall outside the program othewwise suffer the risk being called uncle Tom or a sellout.
I’ve been saying these things to my Liberal friends for years. But, the socialization in which Blacks and Latinos are brought up in is very hard to break and Democrats know it.
However, times are a changing because ever so often there comes a Chris Mattews forgetting that Obama was Black, or a Harry Reid extolling the virtue of Obama’s light skin, and Vice President Joe Biden not only calling Obama articulate, but also throwing in that he was “clean”, gives us Conservatives the opportunity and the right to point out the hypocrisy and racism White Liberals get to get away with.
That’s how Chris Matthews gets to be the good racist.
