New York is not Hymietown, it’s Idiottown if they vote in Andrew Cuomo

Are New Yorkers about to go the way of California, Michigan, and to some extent New Jersey, by electing another tax and spend Democrat, trying to pass himself off as a conservative?

If you believe the latest poll, it looks like it will. I for one am dumbfounded! I thought New Yorkers were a pretty shrewd bunch of people. But, if they elect another Albany insider, who is a cheap knock off of his father, former gov Mario Cuomo, New Yorkers deserve what they get.

They will deserve a continuation of the same Albany dysfunction that exits today because Andrew Cuomo won’t change a thing.

Oh, he talks a good game! But, Andrew Cuomo is like that pretty girl who bats her eyes at you, but never puts out.

The labor unions are his true love and he won’t fulfill his promise to cut 20% of their jobs.

In an era where the country is about to resoundingly reject the Obama agenda, New York seems to be stuck in a cocoon where common sense doesn’t penetrate.

One party rule (Democrat) has gotten New York on the brink of financial ruin and the voters of New York are behaving like Oliver Twist-please Sir, I want some more.

American Mustache Institute Endorses Jimmy “Rent too Damn High” McMillan for Governor

When I first laid eye on Jimmy McMillan last night, I thought he was a reject Shaolin master from an old Jackie Chan movie.

This is what New Yorkers had to endure for the race for NY gov.

The Atlantic Online reports the American Mustache Institute agrees: The Rent Is Too Damn High.

Jimmy McMillan, who is running for governor of New York as a candidate of The Rent Is Too Damn High Party, which he founded, has received the endorsement of the American Mustache Institute in his bid for office. (See more on McMillan here.)McMillan sports a mean Imperial style mustache--sideburns connected into a 'stache, known on the street as the "General Lee"--accentuated by an equally ferocious goatee.

His facial hair portfolio vaguely resembles that of Ambrose Burnside, for whom sideburns are named.American Mustache Institute Chairman Dr. Aaron Perlut, previously interviewed by The Atlantic, wrote to McMillan today, notifying the candidate of AMI's endorsement via e-mail:

Mr. McMillan,

This e-mail is to inform you that the American Mustache Institute will indeed endorse your candidacy for Governor of the State of New York. Indeed, as a person of Mustached American heritage, you represent all that is good and decent about America, and clearly, someone who should be leading the great state of New York.

I guess it’s good for a laugh, but it makes my home state a laughing stock. For the first time in my life, I’m not proud to be a New Yorker.

Carl Paladino now only 6 Points behind Andrew “It’s My Turn to Rule” Cuomo: Quinnipiac Poll

Yesterday a Rasmussen poll had Republican Carl Paladino down by 15 points. But, in a new poll the gap has closed significantly because New Yorkers are sick and tired of being taxed and spent to death by Liberal Democrats who don’t know anything other than sucking the taxpayer dry.

Even though Democrats out number Republicans 3 to 1 in New York, Dem voters has seen what other Democrat controlled administrations have done in California, in Michigan, and in New Jersey respectively all teetering on the brink of financial ruin.

This time around New York voters are voting with their wallets and against party interests.

The Daily News reports in a Quinnipiac University poll, Andrew Cuomo leads Tea Party-backed rival Carl Paladino by only a few percentage points, suggesting race is must tighter than originally thought.

Flame-throwing
Republican Carl Paladino is within striking distance of overtaking longtime gubernatorial frontrunner Andrew Cuomo, a shocking new poll finds.

Among likely voters, the Democrat Cuomo has a paltry 49% to 43% lead over Paladino, the blowhard Buffalo businessman who won a shocking and decisive victory last week in the GOP primary, the Quinnipiac University poll finds.

Cuomo "might be a victim of his own excess," Quinnipiac pollster Maurice Carroll said. "Politicians and polls have depicted him so relentlessly as a sure thing that he might be a victim of the 'throw the bums out' attitude that hits incumbents in this angry year."

In the two-way race between Cuomo and Paladino, Quinnipiac found that Cuomo has strong leads among Democrats and women.

Paladino not only crushes Cuomo among Republicans and those who consider themselves part of the Tea Party movement, but he also leads by a 49% to 43% margin among independents - a key voting bloc.

The tough-talking Paladino also leads among men by a 49-46% margin, Quinnipiac found.

Nearly 80% of voters say their minds are made up.

"The question was whether Carl Paladino would get a bounce from his big Republican primary victory," Carroll said. "The answer is yes. He's within shouting distance and - you can count on it - he will be shouting."

Since winning the primary, Paladino has unleashed venomous attacks against Cuomo, most recently questioning his manhood and wondering if he has the "cajones" to publicly debate.

It's left Team Cuomo struggling to find a way to fight back against the unconventional slash-and-burn foe.

Helping Paladino is that 41% of voters say they want a governor who will bring change to Albany, while 22% favor someone who shares their values.
Another 21% want someone who is honest and trustworthy.

In a potential bad sign for Cuomo, the first-term attorney general whose father was a three-term governor, just 10% listed "right experience" as the quality that matters most in deciding how they will vote.

Carl Paladino moves to within 16 points in poll in New York Gov Race

Carl Paladino is not finished yest in his quest to upset baby Andrew Cuomp, the daddy’s Little boy that hasn’t acomplished anything on his own without the help of his father, former Gov Mario Cuomo.

This lead Andrew has is going to continue to shrink as he’s forced to open his mouth and pretend he a conservative reformer.

New Yorkers are not going to be fooled by that.

The Buffalo News reports that Republican Carl P. Paladino is gaining in his contest for governor against Democratic rival Andrew M. Cuomo, according to a new Rasmussen poll.

The survey of 500 likely voters shows Cuomo leading by 54 to 38 percent and represents a major jump from the same poll's finding in July, when the attorney general's lead over the Buffalo businessman was 58 to 29 percent.

"This is Paladino's best showing yet," according to Rasmussen Reports. "It remains to be seen whether this is a short-lived post-primary bounce or a tightening of the race that Cuomo has dominated for months."

The race remains in the "solid Democrat" category, however, the pollster reported. The margin of error is plus or minus 4.5 percentage points in the poll, which was conducted Thursday.

According to the poll, 59 percent of likely voters view Cuomo favorably, while 35 percent regard him unfavorably. Only 5 percent expressed no opinion.

For Paladino, the poll reports favorables at 46 percent, with unfavorables at 38 percent, with 15 percent expressing no opinion.
Paladino called the poll results "awesome" and predicted that he will close the gap even further in the next week.

All of this seemed to intensify both campaigns, as Paladino reiterated his challenge to Cuomo to engage in a debate, while Cuomo supporters showed the kind of power they can muster when on the attack.

Carl Paladino says Andrew Cuomo Lacks 'Cajones' to Debate Him like a Real Man

As a lifetime New Yorker having lived in this state for 47 years, let me tell you that Andrew Cuomo has done NOTHING in his life of any disinclination other than being born a Cuomo, having been married to a Kennedy for a about a minute, and having been the beneficiary of Democrat crony politics because of his name (former NY Gov Mario Cuomo) when he was appointed HUD under President Bill Clinton.

All Andrew had to do was graduate from law school and his father did all the rest for him with every job or position since then.

He’s not a self-made man.

He is and always has been Daddy’s little boy waiting for his chance to become king.

And the voters of New York would have to be utter idiots to vote this man governor when he represents so much of the failed Democrat policies that have poised this state on the brink of financial ruin.

If a can of paint promised to cut taxes 10% and cut spending 20%, New Yorkers would be much better off voting for the can instead of Andrew “It’s my turn to rule” Cuomo.

But, New Yorkers don’t have to resort to paint fumes to take them out of their misery. They have Carl Paladino on their side.

The New York Post reports that bomb-throwing Buffalo businessman and newly minted GOP gubernatorial candidate Carl Paladino began baiting Attorney General Andrew Cuomo today for allegedly lacking the “cajones’’ to face him and other candidates in a public debate.

In a remarkably insulting “Dear Andrew’’ letter sent to the “office of the Democratic Party’’ in Albany, Paladino also directly challenged Cuomo’s manhood and attacked his father, Mario Cuomo, who served three terms as governor from 1983-1994.

“Frankly, I don’t think you have the cojones to face me and the other candidates in a open debate,’’ wrote Paladino, citing Cuomo’s refusal so far to agree to a debate.

“Don't hide behind daddy's coattails even though he pulled strings to advance your career every step of your way. Come out and debate like a man,’’ continued Paladino, who won an upset victory over former Long Island U.S. Rep. Rick Lazio in the GOP primary last week.

“So Andrew, for the first time in your life be a man,’’ he continued.

At one point in the letter Paladino calls Mario Cuomo “a governor who left our state economy in a wreck.”

Cuomo has indicated he’ll debate Paladino and Lazio, who is expected to continue campaigning on the Conservative Party line, but Cuomo's also said that no talks have yet been held with Paladino’s campaign.
Cuomo had no immediate reaction to Paladino’s harsh attack.

It’s time to for Andrew Cuomo to move out from under his daddy’s coattails for once in his life.

Carl Paladino Dispatches Duck to Stalk Andrew Cuomo

Anything can happen in New York.

Village Voice

Proving that nothing is too stupid in love and politics, Carl Paladino has dispatched a person in a duck suit -- get it, duck? as in, "ducking questions about his position on health care reform"? -- to follow Andrew Cuomo around the state as he campaigns for the New York governorship.

And, as in the worst cases of both love and politics, this is kinda creepy and stalkerish, to say nothing of the poor duck-person, who's likely to have his own health care issue and pass out in so much fur due to this infernal heat (maybe he's got air conditioning in there?).

Of course, when you roll out the ducks, you've got to expect this kind of response: "Carl Paladino sends a duck to a political event?

Of course. Paladino is a quack," says New York Democratic Committee chairman Jay Jacobs. Thank God for puns.

Meanwhile, the ducks are asking why Paladino didn't put a duck in a MAN suit for this whole shtick.
