the love shack..

baby...is a little old place where we can get together...

the mayor forums are like a little love shack!
I was watching the Daily Sound's mayoral candidate forum hosted by Josh Molina. Steve Cushman already conceded the mayor race to Dale Francisco during the candidate exchange...so maybe Steve is getting bored already when he asked Dale "what will you do when you become mayor, and it looks like you will"... I think Helene Schneider might have something to say about that..she asked Dale about Randall Van Wolfswinkle's money influence..Dale, as usual, got agitated and defensive and claimed to be running his own campaign. He met Randall "a few times" but doesn't take money from him..nobody in their right mind believes that, so when Dale turns red at the questions and gets angry it is because he is lying!! Then he tries to dodge the questions by saying "well, you take money from unions"... the difference is Helene doesn't hide it, it's not illegal, and she doesn't negotiate contracts approved by the rank and file members and city, she votes on them! There is nothing wrong with a tax paying city worker wanting a pro labor candidate, although the News-Press and cohorts want you to believe in the union bogeyman.. next, Helene is the only candidate with no public position on Measure B which Francisco calls the most important initiative in 13 years. He asked Helene why she doesn't take a position. Helene's response was pretty clear: it is a citizen initiative and she'll support the vote..that makes perfect sense.
loose tongues
The others who are on the PRO MEASURE B slate have already shown their bias against city planners, some developers and most city workers simply because they belong to the union ..these blabbermouths have talked themselves into a tizzy..
how in the world are they going to listen with an open mind to any B related issues that come before the council??
Dr. Dale??
Now this brings me to an interesting crossroads...Dale is starting to remind me of Dr. Laura..the preachy talk, the mannerisms, the bigotry and the ease with which both of them lie! The ease with which both of them get agitated when you disagree with them...it's frightening...and get this: the only difference is Dale is in his fifties, still single and plays cello...Dr. Laura is in her sixties, is married and plays with herself...put three and three together folks!
and look at the people buying into Dale's campaign..lawyers and real estate investors/brokers and a cast of shady characters!!
the Lincoln Club.. a nonprofit full of birthers, Tea Party crazies, and racists!! I'm not at all surprised..

Frank Hotchkiss..realtor and fellow Measure B slater...
Sally Jordan and Judith Ishkanian who had some choice words for new housing:
Lowe is a founder of the now-defunct Homeowner's Defense Fund, a group in Montecito that opposes the building of new housing in California. The organization argues that dense new housing will degrade existing neighborhoods; the (then) president of the Homeowner's Defense Fund, Sally Jordan, characterized California State advocacy for new housing as `like Hitler'; Santa Barbara Independent, April 6, 2006 the current president Judith Ishkanian has characterized such housing as `ghettos'....Pro Measure B is anti- workforce housing or anything that resembles it, like condos!
and Dale is having no problem using the PR Store for his publicity campaign..remember Dale claims to be the only person with scruples among all the candidates, yet he uses the PR Store, with all its legal issues regarding Ira Distenfield, the Santa Barbara man who built up and sold legal services franchise We the People. Distenfield is facing state charges that he misled investors in his newest venture, PRstore. On June 1, the California Department of Corporations issued a cease and refrain order against Distenfield and PRstore’s parent company.
Meanwhile, Distenfield moved on to a new franchising venture, PRstore. The firm offers walk-in public relations services such as press release writing and logo design.
Distenfield has a minority stake in 20 stores in California, including his own franchise in Santa Barbara. In January, Distenfield filed for a personal Chapter 7 bankruptcy with $515,000 in assets and more than $5 million in debts, telling the Business Times his legal bills in the We the People battle had overwhelmed him but that he didn’t expect any affect on the PRstore
venture...
Wow..some scruples...more like screwthepeoples!!
