the way we was....

gravestones are no use to the dead!!

remember in Psycho, Norman wanted to preserve his mom??
here's another problem with Measure B folks: they can't read the city code! The City of Santa Barbara already has protections that prevent too many tall buildings in certain areas..this has served the city well over the years. I've heard former SB mayor Sheila Lodge say that Carpinteria has a 30 ft height limit..Carpinteria is a small city and tall buildings don't make much sense here..it is right on the ocean and close to the mountains..plus it's an agriculture town, despite efforts to yuppify it. If you want to go to an upscale dining establishment where the women paint their fingers and toes and the men have shiny bald heads, this ain't the place..try the Biltmore!!
Unfortunately, past councils have approved a ton of building projects which have created more crowds and white people walking their neurotic dogs..instant neighborhoods have sprung up: Sparrow's Landing, Pacific Heights, Mission Terrace townhomes, Lavender Court, People's Self Help Housing project at the Camper Park called Casas de les Flores, the proposed Green Heron Springs 30 condo project on Cravens, the city gave up an ag buffer to develop here and the beneficiary is the owner of the property who also sits on the ARB!! the threat of Lagunitas still looms to mess up the east side of town toward Ojai with their over-reaching plans, although the property is currently for sale..I think the Lagunitas guys just gave up on their idea of a high tech campus in Carpinteria..and it's another example of grabbing ag land for development...and the business park area has a number of tall buildings which is fine...but many of them are empty..Lagunitas just doesn't make financial sense here!
so you see, building heights do not stop over- development, people do!! Some development is fine and needed..but a balance must be achieved and you can't save everything! Sometimes city councils and ARBs get their yes and no mixed up...for Lagunitas, they should have said no..you can't build on ag land!
So, Vote NO ON B..it is a stupid initiative and I'll give you five dollars if you do...
Dolphin Lady endorses Bam Bam!
"me kill all city employees
esp the ones who are veterans"..says Bam Bam
here's another penny into the Wishing Well....
