Howard Gordon, Executive Producer has hinted that '24' may hang it up after Season 8 but there will be a feature film to look forward to. Hopefully, more than one film (kind of like the Jason Bourne franchise).
There have been several articles posted over the last couple of days speculating that Jack's last bad day (at least on TV) will be Day 8. Personally, I want to see '24' go on forever, but I guess all good things must come to an end.
That will be a very, very sad day when the last '24' airs on TV. But who knows, things could change and FOX could end up ordering Season 9. Things can change quickly in the entertainment biz.
